Haggerty Museum of Art
The Haggerty Museum of Art is located on the campus of Marquette University, adjacent to downtown Milwaukee in the heart of the Near West Side. FREE and open to the public Monday through Saturday, the Haggerty is one of the most accessible arts venues in the city. Boasting a collection of more than 10,000 objects, the Haggerty Museum of Art connects people—on campus, in the community, and around the world—to art, to ideas, and to one another through free-to-the-public exhibitions, collections, classes, programs, and other special events.
The Haggerty is among the few academic art museums in the nation serving a university with no studio art or art history program making it inherently interdisciplinary by collaborating with faculty from a wide range of subjects to create multi-faceted learning experiences. Equally important, the Museum reaches out to the local community and public at large, promoting engagement through exhibitions and programs that are relevant, diverse, and accessible.
